Have your Duke Energy bill ready. The company will ask for a number from it.
Look for your account number near the top of your bill. Ask the company which number it needs.
The new company tells Duke Energy for you.
You have 7 business days to cancel for free after Duke Energy mails you a letter about the change.
Weekends and holidays don't count.
To cancel, call Duke Energy at the number on its letter.
The company must mail you a notice 45 to 90 days before your plan ends.
If the plan starts again on its own, you may get a second notice. It must show the new price.
