Russell Township, Ohio

Yes. Russell Township buys power for its homes.

The town picked NextEra Energy Services to sell power to homes through NOPEC (Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council). Unless you said no, your home is in the program.

The town's price and the standard price

Prices are for the electricity itself, in cents for each kWh. Delivery charges from your utility are the same either way.

The program's price depends on your utility. Your utility's name is at the top of your bill.

This is NOPEC's Standard Program price. It can change each month. NOPEC also sells fixed prices. Your bill shows the price you pay.

How to leave the program

  1. When NOPEC's letter comes, fill out the opt-out form that came with it. Mail it back the way the letter says.
  2. Any other time, call NOPEC at 1-855-667-3201 and say you want to leave. There is no fee to leave.
  3. Your utility still delivers your power and sends your bill.
