East Gillespie, Illinois

Yes. East Gillespie buys power for its homes.

The town picked Homefield Energy to sell power to homes. Unless you said no, your home is in the program.

The price we have was set to end on May 31, 2026. The program may have a new price now. Ask the company, or look at your bill.

The town's price and the standard price

Prices are for the electricity itself, in cents for each kWh. Delivery charges from your utility are the same either way.

How to leave the program

  1. Look for the letter the supplier mailed about your town's program. It has an opt-out form.
  2. Fill out the form and send it back the way the letter says.
  3. If you don't have the letter, call your village, city or county office and ask how to leave the program.
